forestART offers a range of engaging activities designed to inspire creativity, curiosity, and connection among children and families. From interactive workshops and nature exploration to hands-on arts and crafts, there's something for everyone. Our programs are thoughtfully crafted to create meaningful experiences, encourage learning, and promote quality family time.

Kids Winter forestART Camp
January 2 - 3, 2025
9am to 3:30pm

$140 (full camp) | $70 (one day) | $40 (one afternoon)

(afternoon only options are available)
ages 6+

Join us at the Jack Millikin Centre for a 2 day forestART Winter Kids Camp! We have endless projects in store for your young creatives including drawing, painting, mixed media, collage, needle felting, sewing and more!

Jessica Deback (Saskatoon) and Jenny Ambrose (Big River) are teaming up to bring you a diverse creative experience! See below for the full itinerary.

forestART Winter Kids Camp is suitable for kids ages 6 and up. The machine sewing component is recommended for ages 8 and up but there will be hand sewing options and continued art projects offered during that time. Please reach out if you have any questions.

Thursday
9:00-10:30 - Welcome and Art with Jess
10:30-10:45 - Snack / Stretch Break
10:45-12:00 - Art with Jess
12:00 - 12:30 Lunch
12:30-1:15 - Get Outside! Ski with Jenny
1:30-3:30 - Intro to Needle Felting with Jenny + Art with Jess
3:30 - Pick up!


Friday
9:00-10:30 - Welcome and Art with Jess

12:30-1:15 - Get Outside! Ski with Jenny

We will be taking an outdoor ski break each day! Don’t worry if you don’t have skis, we have all kinds of sizes available from the Ness Creek collection and there will even be a short ski lesson for any newbies!

Starry Starry Paint Night
February 14th, 2025
6pm-9pm

Join the forestART and the Jack Millikin Centre for a Valentine's night of creativity and fun with Elsie! Get ready to unleash your inner artist as Elsie guides you step by step in creating your unique Starry Starry Night painting while enjoying delicious food and drinks.

No experience is necessary, just come ready to have a great time with friends and maybe even make some new ones. All materials and supplies will be provided, and you’ll leave with an amazing work of art, a newfound sense of accomplishment, and plenty of memories to share. This event is designed to be fun, non-competitive, and stress-free. You'll be amazed at what you can create with a little guidance and encouragement!

 

About the Course


Cost: $30 individual | $50 couple | $70 family | $20 additional family members


Seating is first come, first served! Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to order drinks and get a good seat.
Starry Starry Paint Night is suitable for kids aged 7 years and above. Please reach out if you have any questions.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase through the Jack Millikin Centre bar. Note: Food and drinks are NOT included in the price of your ticket.
